During the construction of the Eppling to Chatswood Rail Link, Hermes Identity was contracted providing tender and construction documentation for evacuation signage within the rail tunnel.
As insurance against prolonged train breakdown or major incidents within the tunnel system, all signage was photoluminescent enabling navigation to exit points after emergency lighting batteries expired.
14 different catorgies of signage were developed to be displayed within the 16kms of dual rail tunnels. A total of over 1500 photoluminescent signs where individually specified and installed.
Signage installed were of similar specification as implemented within the Australia’s Navy Collins Class submarines.
